Who is behind Interstate SLP?
Welcome to our page! I'm Emily, and I work as a travel speech language pathologist. My husband, Eric, is a travel physical therapist. When Eric first mentioned travel therapy to me, I thought it sounded like a lot of work that would probably not be worth the effort that goes into finding housing, recruiters, licensing information, etc. Luckily for me, he graduated a year before me and became a travel physical therapist. This meant that by the time I graduated, he had answers to all of my questions and showed me that not only was travel therapy achievable, it was definitely worth it. I accepted my first travel speech language pathology job in Denver, CO two days before our wedding, and we've been traveling ever since. We offer a unique perspective as a traveling therapy couple and have a specific focus towards SLP travel as there aren't many free resources available to those interested. We have been blessed to travel the country through our work, and we pray this website and its contents will be a blessing to you as well. Thanks for being here!

Interstate SLP: Goals and Mission
Our Mission: Providing speech language pathologists with the information they need to inspire confident decisions regarding travel therapy
Interstate SLP is a platform dedicated to providing valuable advice and resources for speech language pathologists interested in learning more about travel therapy. Here, it is our goal that you'll find information that is foundational to being a successful travel therapist. Whether or not travel therapy is the right fit for you, we hope our website will help you make an informed decision either way! We strive to provide as much information as we can within our "scope" of experience for free--because between ASHA, state licensing, and graduate school, don't we already pay enough to work? Whether you are a seasoned SLP or just starting your career, Interstate SLP is here to help you feel confident beginning your travels. We're glad you're here!
